“Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God”Matthew 3:8 (NLT)

The young Paul was like a man possessed when he heard the followers of Jesus claim that He was the resurrected Messiah. No one who dies on a cross could be the Messiah. It was blasphemy! Paul persecuted the followers of Jesus with a vengeance everywhere he went.

Then, one day, he encountered the resurrected Jesus on the road to Damascus. This meeting altered his entire life. A true revolutionary was born that day when Jesus and Paul met face to face, one that redefined religion and life for millions of people throughout history. Talk about impact!

After being “hijacked by grace”, Paul’s new purpose took him on dangerous, yet highly adventurous journeys to the farthermost corners of the world. He travelled more than 11 000 miles on foot during his various missionary journeys across the Roman Empire. The new Paul who instantly turned into a loyal follower of Jesus had a new vision, one that provoked, disrupted and challenged everyone and everything around him, but one that made a huge impact, the right kind! Perhaps we should follow suit.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please show me where you need me to be. Show me what impact I need to make on others around me. In this dark world, help me to be Your Light. Oh Lord, bless me with boldness and bravery to serve You. Help me to be a little more like Paul – provoking, disruptive and challenging, all in Your name, and to bring you Glory! Thank you Father that you know me by name. Every day is a struggle to not allow this world to claim me. Here I am Lord, Your servant is waiting! Amen

Yours in Christ
